10 Things to do for Halloween

Halloween is the one time of year where someone could step outside their element and do anything with almost no regrets. However, for some people the first half of Halloween is spent sitting in a friends’ living room wondering what is fun to do. Here is a list of 10 things someone could do:

ONE: The West Hollywood Parade This parade has been going on for many years and never is a disappointment. This is where millions of people gather around the streets of Hollywood wearing costumes someone has probably never seen before. Best of all, it’s free.

TWO: Seven Seas Tattoo Shop Feel the need to get a tattoo? Seven Seas tattoo shop is having a Halloween tattoo special. Go to the shop from Noon to Midnight and choose a tattoo from the Halloween Flash sheets and the cost of the tattoo is only $50. First come, first serve. 900 F St.# 129 Downtown San Diego (619) 233-0032 www.thetoothhurts.com

THREE: Santa Barbara Most people know that Santa Barbara on Halloween is one huge party town. Even Though it might be fun, if going there one should be careful. Most arrests made on Halloween night in Santa Barbara are people who are from different cities.

FOUR: Trick or Treating A childhood favorite can still be fun when someone is obviously too old to go Trick-or-Treating. It can be a fun night just by laughing at the looks on peoples faces when someone who’s older than 10 is standing on their doorstep yelling, “Trick-or-Treat!” And the part that people give out free candy isn’t too bad either.

FIVE: Ghost Hunting If feeling a little adventurous, there’s always time to call-out the supernatural. Most websites have lists to supposed “haunted” places near every neighborhood where someone could go check out. However, going to some of those places can be trespassing, make sure there isn’t a huge sign in front of a building or house that says, “No trespassing.” Getting arrested on Halloween can seriously put a damper on anyone’s night.SIX: Scary Movie Festival With Friends Not feeling the need to test the supernatural or party hard? There’s always a quiet night-in with a group of friends watching classic scary movies. Money won’t be spent on an over-priced costume and you’re in the comfort of your own home.

SEVEN: Misfits Cover Band in Oxnard, CA What band loves Halloween more than The Misfits? Yeah, I couldn’t think of one either. Although actually seeing The Misfits isn’t going to happen, there’s always cover-bands that sound close enough to the real thing. Hybrid Moments, a Misfits cover band, is playing in Oxnard, Ca at The Lab for $5 on Halloween night. The show starts at 6:00 p.m. and is all ages. 2818 Vineyard Ave. Oxnard, CA

EIGHT: Knickerbocker and Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood Both hotels in Hollywood are said to be haunted by ghosts. Renting a hotel room for one night at either of these hotels can be an intense experience all around.www.hollywoodroosevelt.com

NINE: Las Vegas Anyone craving a real road trip can always head to Sin City otherwise known as Las Vegas. The city motto is, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Halloween night is a great night to live by that rule. www.lasvegas.com

TEN: Halloween Theme Parks Theme parks like Universal Studios, Six Flags and Knott’s Berry Farm all have transformed their parks into Halloween mazes and haunted houses. Although a trip to one of these parks could be pricey, it’s a fun night full of screams and chills.
