Students to show their talent

There will be a talent show taking place tomorrow in the Great Hall at 1 p.m.

The Associated Students Organization (ASO) funded event entitled “Pierce’s Got Talent” is “the first talent show I know of (at Pierce),” said Cindy Gerges, the ASO Club Council president and creator of the show.

There are 20 confirmed acts scheduled to take place. Talent categories include: singing, dancing, instrument playing, poetry reading and more.

The awards to the finalists will be:
•    First place – An Xbox 360
•    Second place – An 8-gig iPod Touch
•    Third place – An iPod Nano

All participants will receive a $5 gift card to Jamba Juice.

The event will be hosted by Chris Suard, the vice president of ASO and Amr Abushami, the chair of ASO’s Public Welfare committee. 

Judges for the event will be Dennis Parnell, adjunct instructor of music and Fernando Oleas, chair of the Modern Language department, and Janet Duenas, assistant to ASO.
