A cabaret featuring musical performances and accompanied by a silent auction and catered dinner will take place at Pierce College on Saturday.

As an annual fundraiser for future productions, the Music Department at Pierce College hosts a cabaret.

The money raised from the cabaret “provides funds for the Philharmonic Choir and its productions,” said Theresa Danna, wife of music instructor, Terry Danna.

The cabaret will be held in the Great Hall at Pierce College on Saturday, May 1 from 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6:30, followed by performances at 8:00 and the silent auction will go on throughout the evening.

The price to attend is $40.00 per person if paid in advance and $50.00 per person if paid at the time of entrance.

The music performances one can expect to see include more than 20 solos by Pierce students as well as music by a fiddler and guitarists.

The cabaret allows for “More opportunity for solos,” said Terry Danna, a music instructor at Pierce. “As most of the concerts are performed by the choir or symphony.”

The silent auction will bring in the majority of the funds as people bid on a variety of different baskets offering items such as movie tickets, concert tickets, gift certificates, gourmet chocolates, Italian cuisine and much more.

Dinner will be catered by Stonefire Grill.
