Assistant Professor of Engineering/CAD
Elizabeth Cheung
- Loves to surf in the California waves in her free time.
- Attended University of Cincinnati and played soccer there.
- Works on hip replacement implants prior to coming to Pierce College.

Assistant Professor of Biology
Shannon DeVaney
- Was a postdoc fellow at the Los Angeles County National History Museum before coming to work at Pierce College.
- Really likes doing research on deep-sea fishes.
- Taking lessons in Japanese taiko drumming.
- Just ran a marathon in the spring; she will soon be training for another marathon to support an AIDS charity.

- Enjoys reading “Already Dead” in her spare time.
- Her favorite food is sushi.
- Loves writing short stories and hiking.

- Loves to belly dance.
- Didn’t learn how to read until she was 8, which is where her passion for helping others with their reading skills come from.
