Statway to success

 

Completing your math credits has just become easier for liberal
arts and humanities majors at Pierce College according to Bob Martinez.

The Statway program has existed for 2-years has now come to
Pierce College. This program offers a fast track through mathematics.

“It’s a statistics pathway to complete your math
requirements in just two semesters,” said Martinez.

The program was launched with 3-sessions this semester. If
the program is successful the math department hopes to have more sessions in
the future.

This comes to students through a combined effort between
community colleges and the Carnegie Foundation.

The goal is to help students who might be disheartened by
difficult and unnecessary math coursed move forward to the degree they are
working for according to Martinez.
