Lights, Camera, Action – Theater Dept. prepares for new show
The Theater Department has been the stage for many talented individuals through the years.
For a theater production or just a regular class, the love and passion shown by students and professor alike is clearly there.
Daniel J. Nah is an example of this.
Nah is a 21 year old Pierce College student who has been active in the theater community, both on and off campus for the past five years. He has already accomplished more than most students his age.
Nah has taken numerous classes on campus, including Beginning Acting with Gene Putnam, and Intermediate Acting with Frank Catalano. He is currently not taking a theater class because he wanted to focus on taking general education courses so he can transfer.
“Once I graduate, I can focus on my major along with my minor,” said Nah.
Nah was first attracted to theater because of the musicals. He thought the dances and stories spoke to him. He’s always been a fan of movies, but it wasn’t until he spoke to his high school teacher, that he seriously considered a career in acting.
“I was inspired the most by my high school teacher, “ he said.
Nah is passionate, not only about theater, but dance as well. He has an active dance crew on campus that he hopes to expand.
He manages his own Youtube channel and is also in the process of creating his own company called XPY Entertainment.
