Transfer fair goes well despite the wind

Representatives from in and out-of-state and private universities came to the Transfer Fair hosted on the Mall area Wednesday, Nov. 2 to answer questions about the process of transferring.

UCLA and USC representatives hosted workshops after the fair was over for an hour in the Student Service Building, said Transfer Center Director Sunday Salter.

There was also “really poor attendance, because of the wind,” said Salter.

The event turned out to be “good,” even though the day was windy said Linda Trevillian, volunteer representative of Cal State Los Angeles Business Department.

The workshops were a great help, said Andrea Gordillo, 24, communication major.

USC hosts a workshop at Pierce College once a year after the Transfer Fair is over, said Salter.

There were eight UC universities and seven Cal States and the rest were private and out-of-state universities, said Salter.
