Teacher representation at Martin Luther King Jr. parade

The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) will be joining in the 27 annual Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Kingdom day parade today.

The parade will begin on the corners of MLK Boulevard and Western Avenue at 11a.m.

Pierce College AFT chapter president Don Sparks will be in attendance as well as other AFT members.

There will be floats, marching bands and drill teams as well as the Los Angeles Sheriff’s dept. equestrian unit.
