Bull magazine wins national awards

The American Scholastic Press Association presented the Bull magazine with two national awards on Thursday.

The spring/summer issue of the Bull magazine won the first place award as the “Most Outstanding Community College Literary-Art Magazine.”

The Bull is a student-run magazine produced at Pierce College. The editor in chief of the aforementioned issue, Amber-Rose Kelly, has also worked as a photo editor for the Roundup newspaper and Roundup online.

The advisers for the Bull are Instructor of Media Arts Amara Aguilar and Chairperson of Media Arts Department Jill Connelly.

The issue was an “excellent publication which deserves a first place award in the American Scholastic Press Association’s annual magazine competition,” according to a letter sent to the Bull.
