Strong winds trashing the campus

High winds have created a mess on the Pierce College campus.

Winds blowing hard from the North at 24 mph are knocking over trashcans, and tare posters off of buildings.

“I put rocks in the janitors pockets to keep on the ground,” Director of Facilities Paul Nieman said.

So far nothing has been reported broken, Nieman said.

“We are waiting for the wind to stop before we really start cleaning it up,” Nieman said. “Doing it now is like fighting a loosing battle.”
