Pierce baseball loses close game to Bakersfield

The baseball team fell short of a victory Thursday, losing 10-9 to Bakersfield in one of the closest games of the season, according to head coach Joe Arnold. Pierce has now fallen four games behind, which makes it very crucial for them to do well in their next few games to clench a playoff spot.

Glendale shut out by Brahmas

Spring training for alumni

Professional baseball’s Spring Training is here for four Pierce College alumni. Right-handed pitcher Daniel Berlind was the first of three Pierce players drafted in last year’s First-Year Player Draft. Berlind, the 242nd pick of the draft, was selected by the Minnesota Twins.
