As a prelude to Earth Week, Pierce College’s Associated Student Organization will be screening Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” tomorrow in the Music Building, Room 3400 at 3 p.m.
“Our goal is to create greater awareness about global warming,” said Abraham White, ASO president. This screening will be free for all who would like to attend.
The event is being sponsored by the ASO and there may be a panel discussion afterward.
This film is a documentary created to inform the public of the fast-growing consequences of Global Warming.
According to the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), this movie presents hard, true facts in a thoughtful and compelling way. “An Inconvenient Truth” presents the facts to the audience and allows the viewer to make their own conclusions on the topic of global warming.
The film won Gore, former vice president, the first Oscar given to a senior politician and was the first carbon-neutral documentary ever made.
