Finding a potential employer at the Career Fair on May 17 was an easy task for most Pierce College students and members of the community.
The fair featured more than 150
companies and a few local colleges, ranging from Starbucks to the Central Intelligence Agency.
For four hours students and community members had the chance to speak with many company representatives. One of the most recognized companies, Metro was also there but unlike other companies they were not getting a lot of traffic.
Most companies used giveaways like free coffee, pens, coaster, cups and lip gloss to lure potential employees. The representatives were very helpful in explaining the goals of their company and what kind employees they were looking for.
A lot of companies who have been to the career fair before said that this was so far the best turn out ever.
The CIA employees were very helpful when it came to talking about what kind of positions they offered. Currently the CIA is looking to fill many positions like engineering specialist, support services, language, financial assistant and much more.
Schools were also in attendance at the career fair. The local West Valley Occupational Center and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising were some of the few that were present.
