A ‘Gold Medallion of Excellence’ was awarded to the Los Angeles Community College District, of which Pierce is a part, for its Web site. Judging was based on creativity and effective marketing. Awards were given by the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations earlier this month at its annual conference to recognize outstanding achievement in communications for community, junior and technical college professionals. The LACCD also won awards for print advertisement, outdoor advertisement and video.
