New Colors Could Be In Order

The Pierce College Council met on Thursday to address potential beautification efforts on campus as well as discuss several school-related issues. Some members of the council, made up mostly of administrators and faculty members, suggested that the school’s current arrangement of buildings and their colors may not be as welcoming to students as they would like.

$$One textbook bill passes, another dies

N-TXTBK-NY 1-1-1-1 Two bills, attempting to combat high textbook prices, were sent to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s desk this month, but on Oct. 12 Assembly Bill 1548 passed, and will take affect in 2010, while Senate Bill 832 was vetoed. Both bills were similar in that they aim to inform instructors about edition changes, what additional supplements come with the books and most importantly prices.
