In 84 minutes, “Reno 911!: Miami” convinced me that writers have run out of creativity and major movie studios have lost their ability to discern between funny and obscene. This was after sitting through a brainless and repetitive compilation of foolish jokes that seemed to have been written by a 7-year-old.

Despite losing as a team to Cuesta College, the Pierce College men and women’s swimming and diving teams shined individually in their regular season home opener on Friday. Cuesta was able to use their advantage a strength in numbers to win the team battle against Pierce.

March 2, 2007 Roundup While I am a champion of Freedom of the Press, I was greatly distressed at the tone of your editorial under Viewpoints, on the current state of the campus, in the Feb. 28 issue of The Roundup. We are all aware of the many problems and difficulties that exist right now, but I feel the general tone was overly negative and mean-spirited.

The Pierce College men’s volleyball team is at a current 3-2 standing with a goal to win the state championship. First year head coach Eddie Stanislawski hopes to lead them there. Since Long Beach City College went undefeated and took the state championship last season, they are still the ones to beat.
