Summer starts early with the Associated Students Organization barbecue today, taking place from 2 to 4 p.m. in front of their new building near the business office.The event will feature free food, music, a pie eating contest and other games – including a Nintendo Wii tournament – which is to be held indoors in the newly completed Great Hall of the ASO building.”It’s a great way for people to come and rejoice in their accomplishments and meet new people,” said ASO President Tessa Moss.Sallay Mannah, Social-Cultural Committee chair, urged students, instructors and all at Pierce College to “come out, eat and have fun.” Food includes burgers, barbecued chicken and hot dogs.A barbecue was also hosted by the ASO in the fall, as they typically have one each semester.
