The Brahmas beat Bakersfield College 1-0 on a physical game at Pierce on Monday.
Emelie Martinez scored the only goal, which came on a penalty kick about halfway through the first half.
There were some injury scares for the Brahmas. Rocio Abundez went down twice, once in the first half and once in the second half. The first time, she left the field and returned to the game minutes later, and the second time she was down for about a minute and was able to remain in the game.
Betty Ramirez went down in the first half, but was able to return to her feet after about a minute and remained in the game.
Stephanie Cubias received a yellow card in the second half.
