Four Christmases was a delightful comedy that was filled with laughter throughout the movie leaving you breathless. The movie was starring Vince Vaughn (Brad) and Reese Witherspoon (Kate), a happily unmarried, upscale San Francisco couple. For about three years, every Christmas Brad and Kate refuse to be with their unbearable families and have a tradition of going on a trip. This year the fog ruined their plans to escape so they end up spending four Christmases with their divorced parents that ends up becoming a disastrous and sickening day. Brad’s childhood best friend is in a relationship with his mom, Sissy Spacek. His dad, Robert Duvall lives with his other two cage fighting sons, Tim McGraw and Jon Favreau who embarrass Brad by beating the living daylights of him as sought out to be a joke when they come to visit.
Kate’s parents that are played by Mary Steenburgen and Jon Voight. Her sister who picks on her all the time and always points out the flaws in her life was played by Kristin Chenoweth. The plot of the movie was basically about this unmarried couple who have been avoiding the subject of marriage and kids for three years. The reason for that was because their crazy families set a bad example for them. But later what they did not realize that they were only looking at the problems, not the joy of being married or having a family. So the question comes up, does this couple really want what their families has and is is really worth it? The acting of Vince Vaughn was very tasteful and was extremely hilarious. It was well thought out and well done to the point where it left audience laughing out of their seats. Reese Witherspoon filled the spaces and was great with Vince Vaughn, they made a great couple in the movie. Overall the movie was very enjoyable and it gave a different plot to the story than other comedies. Some of the jokes that were made and the comedy is unforgettable after seeing this movie. This is a great holiday movie to watch in the theaters and wont leave you disappointed.
