Bakersfield player Jasmine Howard, #2, scored a goal in each half of the game in what her coach Scott Dameron called “one of the most intense games we’ve played in the season.

Pierce College came close to winning the first set but came short of three, and ECC led at 30-27. “We looked past them, never really paid attention (to the team),” Brahmas team captain Steve Umemoto said.
