Soccer game postponed
Tuesday’s women’s soccer home game against Bakersfield was postponed because of the poor air quality condition due to the nearby fires. The game has been rescheduled to Monday at 4 p.m. at Pierce College.
Child prodigies play the symphony, stun the audience
It’s always fun to see a child prodigy. The San Fernando Valley Symphony opened their current season with three of them to bring something special to the show – and maybe even also to balance out a mostly elderly audience. On the evening of Sept. 27, conductor James Domine showed passion and joy as he led the orchestra through selected compositions, but it was the soloists who were the headliners of the evening.

Psychology department to recommend prerequisite English courses, possibly require them in the future
The psychology department has decided to add an advisory to Psychology 1 starting in the spring “Schedule of Classes”, which would recommend completing English 28 or above before enrolling.

First victory of the season
The Pierce College Brahmas got their first victory of the season Saturday, beating East Los Angeles College 28-15 and bringing Pierce to 1-3 for the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Brahmas came into Saturday’s game 0-3, but two days before the game, coach Efrain Martinez said what he wants when the team takes the field.
