The Pierce College farm area is currently undergoing a construction project with a $2.7 million budget. Construction began on July 28 and will continue until the middle to the end of February. The equestrian area will experience many additions, and Pierce’s animal residents will receive new homes.

Security blankets for the animal soul
It started with a single inspiration. Four and a half years ago, Eileen Smulson, founder of Operation Blankets of Love, adopted Ginger, an all-American terrier poodle, from a local animal shelter. She noticed the animals were shivering in their cages. That is when she came up with an idea.
