” Change We Need” is the theme for Pierce’s 2009 film festival.
The film fest; hosted by the Diversity committee and ASO will take place November 2-5. A series of politically oriented documentaries will be shown.
The documentaries that are scheduled to be shown at the film fest are, “Food, Inc.”, ” No End In Sight”, “Religulous”, “Outrage”, and “10 Questions for the Dalai Lama”. The schedule for each film will be posted by the end of this week.
In addition to the film festival, there will also be an art contest. Art students and photographers as well are encouraged to submit an entry. The theme of “Change We Need” also applies to the art and photography contest.
The artwork and photography that wins the contest will be put up for display during the film festival. Prizes will also be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the contest. Prizes could be up to $200. The deadline to enter yourself in the contest will be October 26.
