The new Student Services building dedication today featured guest speakers, entertainment and tours.
Guest speakers included Dr. Joy McCaslin, interim Pierce College president, Dr. Tyree Wieder, interim chancellor of the Los Angeles Community College District and Shani Simms, ASO president.
“The building is going to be great for new students to find what they need and where to go,” Simms said.
After the speeches, the ribbon was cut and everyone was allowed onto the first floor of the building. There were students and faculty in red Pierce College shirts at each corner and would explain different departments.
The Financial Aid office, Health Center, Counseling Office, EOPS, Sdmissions, Special Services and Assessment Placing Offices will be moving into new building.
The new building wil be open for business Nov. 4.
