The Pierce College Associated Students Organization played two controversial songs during their weekly Senate meeting on Tuesday.

As stated at the start, the gathering was not an official meeting of the ASO.  The were to receive reports from each committee.

The songs were played by ASO vice president Chris Suard.

One song played was Lilly Allen’s “Fuck you very much.” It was played as a tribute to the UC application system’s crash on Monday.

Bust Rhymes’ “Arab Money” was played after it was announced it was kill an infidel day.

Suard denied comment on the event yesterday stating that since it was not an official ASO meeting he had no obligation to comment.

At the meeting it was announced that Shani Simms would meet with Interim President Joy McCaslin to discuss the upcoming ASO trip to Washington D.C.

ASO Senator Kevin Sparks said the next ASO sponsored party will be at the end of February. The last event was held on Nov. 6.

“This is really going to unite us as Pierce College,” said Sparks.

Included was an announcement about the last blood drive of the semester which occured yesterday. The ASO has donated 125 pints of blood to the American Red Cross.
