From December 24 of this year to January 3rd all buildings will be closed except to the Academic Affairs Office. Winter session is already jam-packed and the spring semester is starting to get full.
The buildings will be closed with the purpose of cutting costs, save some money and allow total access to plant facilities. The Academic Affairs offices only will remain open for the College staff members who are not planning on taking vacation and want to work.
Winter session is already full. There were 150 sections cut and the main basic requirements classes to transfer were left. “It was very surprising to see how quickly the sessions filled up,” said Marisol Osorio employee at the Student Services building.
175 sections were taken out form spring 2010. “it is rapidly getting full,” said Osorio. “Biology, Science, Math, Speech and English are filling up way faster, and they are pretty much full,” said David Hill. He works in the info desk at the Student Services Building.
Classes are starting to be change due to accommodations, new schedule and teachers. To get further information of updates is recommended to constantly visit the school’s website- www.piercecollege.edu.
