 Ipad

Many people own a cell phone, but have you ever wanted your smart phone to be cable of much more?

Well now it can.

On Jan. 27 it was announced the iPad is to be released on April 3rd. The idea behind iPad is to have a cross between a smart phone and a laptop.

This is so ingenious because most cell phones; even the iphone cannot always download web pages fast enough. Some web pages cannot be downloaded at all. iPad has better memory and a more efficient design to help make it have faster internet and have to ability to process all web pages.

It has a 9.7-inch fingerprint resistant touch screen, with a high resolution of LCD screen and led backlights. This gives the ipad a greater opportunity to show movies which can play at up to 30 frames per second, pictures, and Internet. This is great for waiting in lines at theme parks or when going on a long roadtrip.

This is great for anyone from a reporter to a doctor; the amount of things possible on the iPad is endless.

What makes the ipad similar to the iPhone is that it has the same operating system and same basic touch screen the amazing part is that iPad has over 150,000 apps redesigned and made specifically to work for it.

Johny Ivy, the senior vice president of iPhone design states “every single app was recreated for iPad.”

A great example is the new “iBook” store, where it’s possible to buy a book and read each page with the touch of a finger.

Aside from the iBook store there are many other helpful apps like iWork, which allows you to view or send office documents through email as well as synching everything from and iPod to iPad. Pages, Keynote, and Numbers can all be used to make documents, PowerPoint’s, and charts for businesses.

The main difference between the Ipad and the Iphone is the amazing amount of memory it can hold.

The Ipad comes in 4 different flash storage types, 8,16, 32, and 64 gigabytes with a 1-gigahertz processor. Along with the great amount of memory the Ipad has a custom fitted chip called the A4.

This specific chip makes the Ipad vary from the rest because of how powerful it is, making everything on this device more efficient. Apple even considered battery life; each battery charge holds 10 hours of life.

Just as there is the iPod touch and the iPhone, the iPad will have two different models the wi-fi and the wi-fi 3g.

The iPad may be thought of as the newest and coolest pieces of technology meanwhile some might beg to differ that technology is ruining our planet. IPad does not fall into that category considering the display glass is arsenic free and BFR (brominated flame retardant) free.

Meanwhile the LCD display is free of mercury and (polyvinyl chloride) PVC. Lastly it’s enclosed in a recyclable case made of aluminum and glass closure. This amazing new piece of technology is also environmentally safe, giving this device just another reason to be bought.

The iPad is the newest handheld device that can be used for virtually anything from music and games to business and research.

Bob Mansfield senior vice president of Apple hardware says “iPad is the most advanced piece of technology I have ever worked on at apple.” In fact finding a good reason to not buy the iPad is hard to find.
