Brahmas Win at the Buzzer
The Pierce College women’s basketball team ends their season in dramatic fashion with Pierce point guard Tessondra Williams making a 15 foot jump shot at the final buzzer giving them a 68-66 win over Allan Hancock College Bulldogs Saturday.
Williams, who wore No. 10 in honor of injured teammate Jessica LogoLogo, was thinking of the Citrus game from last year, only this time she was told by coach Couch to take the shot. “I knew I was going to make it before I took the shot,” said Williams.
Last term, lasting impressions for Shani Simms
As President of the Associated Students Organization, she serves the students through a variety of different jobs, such as organizing programs—now Shani Simms is just as organized when returning students’ bags in a quick and friendly fashion outside of the school bookstore. The long line of students stretching out on all sides doesn’t seem to bother her.
