On the afternoon of Sep. 2, a car driven by Shahla Nawabi, a Non-Pierce College student, struck a light post on Victory Boulevard in front of Pierce’s Farm Center.

Shahla Nawabi, 28, struck the post as she swerved while traveling eastbound on Victory Boulevard to avoid hitting a car that stopped in front of her, according to a Los Angeles Police Officer.

She was heading toward her job in Tarzana when a car suddenly stopped in front of her.

The police do not consider this “accident” as a “hit-and-run,” because the cars didn’t crash into each other.

Nawabi was taken to the hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department for treatment of her injuries.
