Occupy Pierce College

There should be an “Occupy Movement” at Pierce College.

“The Occupy Movement” will go down in history as citizens taking their constitutional rights to the street and standing up to the inequalities between the rich and the poor.

People in America have the right to lawful protest.

Their needs to be attention brought to the economic situation as tuition and the cost of living continues to rise.

The “Occupy Pierce College movement” could be different.

Students could peacefully gather and take the time to do work-studies together.

There could be workshops to inform the students what they need to do to qualify to a university.

There could be educational video’s running throughout the day.

The Pierce musicians could play music. There could be workshops on music.

The whole movement could be educational, inspirational, and a chance for students to learn their constitutional rights.

Those students that attend Pierce are here to learn, study, get good grades and move on to their career’s.

If the movement takes place at Pierce it should not interfere with the students classes or studies.

If it is done in the right way then it could have some educational value, but only if it is done in the right way.

School is about learning.

Being a citizen of the United States is about staying informed and exercising the liberties and freedoms that our forefathers fought so hard for.

We are a blessed nation and we can be a world leader in peace, liberty, and freedom.

The world is watching.

Keep things peaceful, learn and come together to make a positive change.

“Occupy Pierce” why not.
