Pierce College is looking to hire a new vice president of administrative services, following the former position holder’s resignation.
A notice for the job opening was posted in an online bulletin sent out by the Los Angeles Community College District Jan. 30.
Interested applicants have until March 9 at 4 p.m. to seek the position.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s and master’s degree, one of which in the field of business administration, economics, and other related fields, from a recognized educational institution and three years of experience in a full-time, administrative-level position, dealing with the business of a large public agency or private organization.
Ken Takeda, who had held the post since March 2007, began his new job at West Los Angeles College on Feb. 1.
While the position is still unfilled, the other Pierce vice presidents are sharing responsibilities that Takeda used to handle, according to Larry Kraus, associate vice president of administrative services.
