Club Rush will take place in the Great Hall this semester, a departure from its usual location of the Pierce College Mall.
The change in venue means a better table selection for the clubs participating, according to Associated Students Organization (ASO) Faculty Adviser Brad Saenz.
“We’d only get around 10 if we have [Club Rush] outside,” he said during Wednesday’s Club Council meeting. “ASO doesn’t control the tables.”
The tables, which serve as booths for the clubs, are borrowed from the school.
This isn’t the first semester Club Rush has been held in the Great Hall, according to Saenz.
In addition to the ASO selling coffee and hot chocolate, clubs will be selling and giving away various items in an attempt to encourage student involvement through organizations.
For instance, the Student Veteran Organization plans on having a barbecue just outside the infrastructure.
“It will help students know that we have an event going on inside [the Great Hall],” said Club Council President EJ Tormes.
KPCRadio, the campus station, will be providing music for the event, said Tormes.
Club Rush is a semesterly event organized by ASO’s Club Council.
This semester, the event will take place Feb. 28 and 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
