Tuesday’s Academic Senate meeting lasted two hours, during which time they discussed topics such as Proposition 30 and its impact to Pierce College if it gets passed, or if it fails to get passed.
During the Sept. 11, 2012 meeting in Woodland Hills, Calif. the Pierce College Equity committee focused on improvements to student academic success by providing them with the tools they need to succeed during their time here.
Chief among these were student-led tutoring programs, offering students help in Math and English.
The committee is focusing on ethnic groups with English as their second language so they can find the problems and correct them.
