Auditions for the first half of the 2013-14 season’s dance and theater performances will take place beginning this week.
On Wednesday, Aug. 28, between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m., students and community members may audition for “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” in the Temporary Performing Arts Complex located at the corner of Mason Avenue and Olympic Drive.
The play, which will be performed as a live radio broadcast set in the 1940s, will be staged from Dec. 6 through 15, directed by Frank Catalano, according to the Theatre & Dance Department’s website.
The department is also hosting auditions for the musical “The Fantasticks” on Thursday, Aug. 29 and Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Temporary Performing Arts Complex.
“The Fantasticks,” which kicks off the 2013-14 season, will run beginning Oct. 25 and ending Nov. 3.
Meanwhile, auditions for the annual Fall Dance Concert will take place Saturday, Sept. 7 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the North Gym.
