R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke’s music video for “Give It 2 U,” which was published Saturday on Vevo, was shot at the Pierce College football stadium earlier this month.
The production crew for the music video filmed in Shepard Stadium on Aug. 2, 3 and 5, according to Pierce Athletic Director Bob Lofrano.
“Look for the bull [in the background],” said Lofrano, who was on location to watch the crew film.
“Give It 2 U” features hip-hop recording artists Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz.
Various areas in Pierce are sometimes used as film locations for music video, television and movie shoots as a way of generating money for the campus.
In fact, production companies are the most effective outside sources for revenue, according to a 2009 Roundup article.
“It’s a good way for the school to make money,” Lofrano said. “It didn’t interfere with any educational program.”
Other shows that were filmed on location are NBC’s “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation,” a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial and FOX’s “Bones.”
