The Associated Student Organization of Pierce College is throwing a Masquerade Dance at the Great Hall this Thursday, April 17 from 7 – 10 p.m. free of charge.
Iqra Hamid, committee chair, is looking forward to having students show up to the event on campus and socialize with one another, as she remembered how it felt not knowing anyone on campus.
Semi-formal attire will be required for entry and masks made by the ASO officials will given to all students at the door.
Members of the ASO are trying to find a way to have other students interact with one another. Their last event was about two years ago, when they hosted a Salsa Dance that several students came to.
They are hoping students will attend the dance and will be providing finger foods and refreshments with a DJ who will be playing an assortment of various types of music, including Trance and Dance.
“Hopefully people enjoy themselves. I want more student-campus involvement and I want them to have fun,” said Hamid.
