Fun and frights descended on the Pierce College Farm Center for its tenth anniversary and final Halloween Harvest Festival. Attractions include haunted houses and a zombie-infested corn maze, which give Halloween junkies a chance to get their adrenaline fix. Each year, the corn maze has had a different environmental message spelled out in the corn, but this year it reads ‘Pierce Farm 10 Years.’ The festival also features family friendly activities such as a carousel, tractor rides, a scavenger hunt throughout the maze and more. The festival began Sept. 26 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 2. Pierce College has elected not to renew the McBroom family’s lease for the Farm Center and the center will cease all activities on December 26, 2014.
