The Pierce College men’s volleyball team won its first two preseason games at home on Saturday, Jan. 31.
Pierce faced Grossmont College at 2 p.m. and defeated them in four sets, only losing the first one. (17-25, 25-10, 25-8, 25-19)
Freshman outside hitter Chris Pessin scored the most points in the game with 21 and had the most kills with 20.
In the second game of the tournament, Pierce faced San Diego City College and defeated them in three sets. (25-7, 25-18, 25-16)
Freshman outside hitter Garrett Degrasse helped the Brahmas in the victory, scoring 17 points with 34 total attacks.
The Brahmas will resume the season on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at home against Orange Coast College at 6 p.m. The WSC conference will begin on the road against El Camino College Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.
