Pierce College has had a rich agricultural history since it was founded in 1947. Through the years, signs of a campus once rich in farmland has disappeared through modernization.

Contrasted by the corporate buildings of the Warner Center over the hill, the Pierce College Farm still stands, maintained and managed by staff and students.

At sunrise, the staff open the pens that house its animals and allow them to forage and pasture freely. Students feed, vaccinate and take care of newly born animals. Around sunset, students round up the animals and herd them back into their pens to protect them from predators.

With a thriving agricultural program and the dedication of its students and staff, the Pierce College Farm will remain a vital piece to the campus for many years to come.
