President Kathleen Burke has been requested to accept the position of vice chancellor of educational services by LACCD Chancellor Francisco Rodriguez, according to an email Burke sent to Pierce College faculty and staff.
However, Burke did not apply for and has not accepted the position, according to the email. The president and the chancellor are still discussing his request, Burke said in the email.
The district opened nominations and applications for the position in October, 2014, but has yet to fill the job.
