Kumar finished the season 11-1 in singles matches. He was the number one seat for most of the season and is planning to transfer.

What was your experience like for your first game in college?

It was my first collegiate match against Mount San Antonio. I was really excited and it was my dream to come to the US and play in college. I knew I had it in me and I just wanted to do my best when I went out there.

What are you going to do next season?

I am in the process of transferring this fall or next spring to a university. I don’t know how it is going to end and I would love to play another season at Pierce College but I might transfer for next spring. We will see.

What is your biggest strength as a tennis player/athlete?

My will to win and constant fear of losing sight of the track. I just need to stay focused to win.

What is your greatest weakness as a tennis player/athlete?

Everyday im learning knew things, working on transitioning to the net. I have to work on getting to the net to finish the point. If I work and improve on that I can compete and play against the high division schools.
