The land which formerly housed the Pierce College Farm Center was seen undergoing demolition Wednesday afternoon.

The Farm Center, previously owned by Robert and Kathy McBroom, was legally obligated to vacate the land by this April. After a number of extensions, the McBrooms have nearly finished the process of leaving.

Workers were on the grounds with axes, jackhammers and shovels removing the carnival rides and wooden props which the McBroom family had set up over the 10 years they operated the Farm Center. At the time of publication, it was unclear if the workers had been hired by the McBrooms or Pierce College administration.

Robert McBroom was present at the demolition, but declined to comment.
