Lady Brahmas and the Glendale Community College Vaqueros volleyball teams showed fierce determination during Friday’s game that ended in three sets.
The Brahmas came out on top, 25-12, 25-16, and 25-10.
“The girls energy was pretty good. They are playing hard and they start the match very focused. The serving and passing was really good tonight,” Pierce coach Nabil Mardini said.
Pierce controlled the first set reaching 25 points before their opponents could get to half the score. The Vaqueros tried to come back during the second set, at one point almost surpassing the Brahmas, but ultimately lost, 25-16. The Brahmas took it home, winning the last set, 25-10.
Pierce women’s volleyball has stayed on top thanks to what they learn during practice when they encounter the serving line.
Mardini is proud of the collective effort his team shows on the court during the games.
