The Brahmas dropped the season opener on the road to Moorpark College 36-34.
Pierce had the lead late in the game before giving up what would prove to be the winning score for Moorpark with 1:16 left to play.
Starting quarterback Jonathon Saavedra threw for two touchdowns and two interceptions while wide receiver Wesly Touze scored twice, one receiving one rushing.
The defense forced five turnovers. Defensive back Lawrence Coleman had a pick-six as well as a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown that was called back.
The Brahmas next game is Saturday, Sept. 9 at home against LA Southwest College at 6 p.m.
