Joshua Navarro is a veterinary science student who has worked on the Pierce farm with chickens and goats. He said he has always loved working with animals. The kid he holds was the runt of the group.
“Her name is Chiquita Bonita. She didn’t get enough of the milk she was supposed to get from her mom, so we have to bottle-feed her. I just came in here one day, and she came right up to me and she started liking me ever since. Anytime I have a bottle in my hand, she likes me even more.”
