Pierce College Athletics have announced two new head coaches for the 2022-23 school year.
Thara Innocent was named head coach for the women’s basketball program.
She was an assistant coach when the team made their return to the court last year.
Innocent attended Pierce and transferred in 2005 to the University of Phoenix.
Full-time Economics professor Brett Marschall was chosen to lead the softball program.
He was an outfielder and had success at Sacramento City College and California State University, Stanislaus.
During Marschall’s playing career, he also represented his country Australia. He was selected for the under-18 squad that played in the US and was named Rookie of the Year in the South Australian Baseball League.
