Fielding a team for the first time in 43 years had its reward.
Head coach Julio Castillo was named the Western State Conference – South Coach of the Year.
Men’s soccer finished the season 8-8-3, 6-3-1 in conference play.
They ended the season strong, winning four of their last five games.
Other teams in their conference include Antelope Valley, College of the Canyons, Citrus, Glendale and 2023 conference champs Bakersfield.
In addition to the coach being recognized, seven players made all-conference.
Preparations for 2024 are underway.
