The Los Angeles Community College District’s Board of Trustees authorized Capstone Advisory Group LLC to conduct an independent orginizational assesment of the distrcit’s $6 billion building program, according to a Nov. 4 press release.
A day before, Dr. Tyree Wieder, interim chancellor of the LACCD, sent out a letter informing the nine colleges about bond projects coming under scrutiny on Nov. 3.
According to the letter, the L.A. Times has been working on a series of articles about the LACCD’s building program.
Three major areas under investigation are the energy program, the program’s use of consultants and construction management and planning.
Capstone will evaluate BuildLACCD, the construction businesses managing the District’s construction.
The release dates for the Times articles’ are currently unknown.
