Former Pierce College President Robert Garber, in attendance at the dedication ceremony of the new Student Services building today, opened up about his future plans.
Garber left Pierce Aug. 1 to care for his son, Jesse, 23, who diagnosed with acute liver failure. Jesse has since recieved a liver transplant Aug. 5.
“He’s doing fine,” Garber said.
Garber said his mind is mostly on his son’s illness and recovery.
“We’re moving to San Diego next month to support him and taking steps to get his life back together,” he said.
He plans to continue his retirement and has no plans to return to working.
“I haven’t had a chance to think about it. It’s all been about house business,” he said.
