A reported problem with the Sprint radios and emergency communication boxes today has been solved, according to Director of College Facilities Paul Nieman.
A campus email he sent out this morning informed the Pierce community of the issue and that Sprint was working to resolve it.
This is the second such occurrence since the equipment was installed, according to Nieman.
“A busy signal was coming through the boxes,” said Nieman. “We had the same problem with crew (radio) units.”
He said the problem was not with the new equipment, but rather on Sprint’s end. And though he said that all is back to normal, he is unsure of what the cause of the temporary lapse in service was.
“I don’t know what that was,” said Nieman. “A test maybe.”
